Priorities

OUR MOST IMPORTANT WORK LIES AHEAD

  • Quality schools for every student in Princeton

    • Hold SPED accountable by ensuring correct staffing ratios, meeting federal mandates, and providing resources that match student needs.

    • Support Emergent Bilinguals with targeted strategies proven to grow reading and language skills across diverse student backgrounds.

    • Trust and empower teachers by reducing red tape, replicating the success of award-winning educators, and giving them real books and tools—not just paperwork.

    • Recruit and retain talent through partnerships and pipelines that bring in high-quality teachers from diverse professional backgrounds, while celebrating the critical role our educators play.

    • Connect Princeton to expertise by leveraging regional and national networks, research-based practices, and proven programs that prepare students for both academic achievement and long-term success in life.

  • No Neighborhood Left Behind: Common-Sense Safety for All Our Kids

    • Require safety checklists as part of every school and neighborhood plan, tying infrastructure to building approvals.

    • Prioritize vulnerable areas (MUDs, PIDs, ETJs) where families are least likely to receive city-funded safety features.

    • Build partnerships with HOAs, city leaders, and county officials so every jurisdiction is accountable for school zone safety.

    • Secure resources for public safety and public health in rapidly growing areas, not just the city core.

    • Guarantee safe travel to and from school by expanding crosswalks, lights, and sidewalks in all neighborhoods.

  • Every neighborhood gets a champion—your school board shows up.

    • Open our schools by inviting the community to explore campuses, programs, and student services, so families understand and trust what Princeton ISD offers.

    • Create true two-way communication by building feedback channels where students, parents, and community members can share input—and see how it shapes district decisions.

    • Show up in every neighborhood by having trustees present at cultural and religious celebrations, sports events, HOA meetings, and lock-ins. Every neighborhood gets a champion—your school board shows up.

    • Increase transparency by publishing detailed agendas in advance and reporting on public comments afterward, making it clear parents are heard.

    • Listen first, build trust by going beyond livestreams and videos, and making information accessible, understandable, and family-focused.
